Tour of University of Melbourne You can take trams along Swanston St to get to campus. Just make sure they’re travelling the right direction (most say Melb Uni via Swanston St) Unfortunately the uni is not in the free tram zone so you will need a myki alternatively you can walk from Bourke Street (takes around 15 – 20 mins) Monash Road. One of the main entry ways There are many ways to get places around campus, this was my usual route Peter Hall Building, the main math building Nobody was around because I went during Christmas Break Melbourne School of Design (MSD) building, main entrance Redmond Barry, Biology and Psychology Building All psychology tutorials, labs etc happen in here first year bio labs also take place in Redmond Barry MSD alternative entrance and popular coffee shop Union Lawn, they used to hold farmer’s markets here on Wednesdays Union House, is the main food area on campus most people buy their lunch here, but remember to have some cash on hand The union house court is also where UMSU held free BBQ’s on Tuesday’s Deakin Court there are also banks and ATMs on campus Union House, alternate entrance and small convince store Arts West Old Arts Baillieu Library Probably spent the most time in this library, it has some nice views and opens very early South Lawn Car Park, used in Mad Max Merch Shop John Medley Building Welcome Sign South Lawn Lots of construction going on right now but this is usually where O Week is held Old Quad I’ve seen people having wedding photo’s done around here and seems to be popular with tourists as well Old Arts, Clock Tower Cussonia Court, some of these trees have pretty flowers in the winter Old Quad Wilson Hall, most mid-sem tests and exams are held in here Winter graduations are also held in Wilson Hall (usually) Back to Swanston St trams This was only a small part of the uni, and mostly the main areas there are maps all over campus but it’s still very easy to get lost definitely try to find your class locations ahead of time if it’s your first year, or first time on campus the ‘lost on campus’ app is also very handy![Tour of University of Melbourne] You can take trams along Swanston St to get to campus.
